In late 2000, mere months before his thirty-first birthday, rob mclennan was challenged in Prince George, BC by poet Barry McKinnon to compose his own “sex at thirty-one” poem, a seven-year cycle of sequences begun in northern British Columbia in the 1970s by McKinnon and Brian Fawcett. Riding a train from Winnipeg to Toronto in late 2007, this long poem became the most recent in mclennan’s contribution to the series.
